Hi Beth, I am interesting in purchasing a round-trip Rome-Salerno ticket for August 5 and 8.
Under the ticket details, I noticed this statement: --Normal (Regional) - Advance Purchase
Ticket will be issued by email 60 days prior to travel. Train's departure and arrival times may adjust up to 15 minutes as timetables are finalized. This train has unreserved seating. Ticket can be validated for use until 2 months after date of ticket issue. No changes are allowed to departure or arrival station, route, class of service, or number of passengers. Regional and Suburban train tickets cannot be canceled and no refunds will be issued. All Regional and Suburban train tickets must be validated prior to boarding the train. Validation machines are at the train station and are red, white, and green in color.--
Does this mean that it is too early for me to purchase these tickets if they can only be validated for use "until 2 months after date of ticket issue"? Is purchasing the ticket online considered the date of ticket issue?
Please let me know, thanks.
