If you purchase city to city tickets, you will have a choice of 3 different fare bases. We offer a flexible fare, which is changeable multiple times up until an hour past the trains departure time, and if you need to cancel the ticket the ticket is 85% refundable as long as you cancel them with us at least 3 days prior to the travel date. Up until 2 days prior to the travel date, it is 40% refundable. The next fare base is a normal fare. This fare is changeable one time until 1 day prior to the travel date. Up until 3 days prior to the travel date, the ticket is 70% refundable, and any closer to the travel date, it is non refundable. The last fare base is a saver fare. The saver fare is not changeable once the train is confirmed, and if you need to cancel the ticket, up until 3 days prior to the travel date, the ticket is 40% refundable. Roma>Forli, via Bologna would be $155 1st/$114 2nd flexi, $125 1st/$91 2nd normal, and $99 1st/$73 2nd saver, per person. From Forli>Firenze, via Bologna, the fares are $79 1st/$56 2nd flexi, $64 1st/$45 2nd normal, and $51 1st/$36 2nd saver fare, per person. From Firenze>Venezia, the fare is $102 1st/$73 2nd flexi, $81 1st/$59 2nd normal, and $65 1st/$46 2nd saver fare, per person. From Venezia>Roma, the fare is $176 1st/$129 2nd flexi, $141 1st/$103 2nd normal, and $113 1st/$83 2nd saver fare, per person.
At the saver fare, 1st class, purchasing city to city tickets, will be $328 per person, and 2nd class will be $238 per person. Using the saver fare as it is the least expensive, if you choose first class, then the cost of the pass + reservations versus the city to city tickets is within $5 per person. If you choose 2nd class, then city to city tickets will cost less than the pass + seat reservations.
