Purchased identical set of tickets by mistake!
On July 8th, I purchased 2 tickets (to replace earlier tickets that were unfortunatey non-refundable) from Naples to Rome and Rome to Grossetto for travel on July 22. When I went to look for the confirmation of the order, it was nowhere to be found - not in my email, not on the Italia Rail site anywhere. As I am leaving town tomorrow and needed my travel agent to coordinate all the other pieces of my trip, I made the assumption that the transaction didn't go thru and purchased another set of tickets TODAY.
An hour after i purchased these new tickets, I discovered that the July 8 tickets WERE purchased and the confirmation had been sent thru to my husband's email (email@example.com).
I now find myself having paid for 3 sets of tickets on July 22 and wondered if I might be refunded for this last set I purchased in error. I understand it is my responsibility to pay for the first set of non-refundable tickets and the second set I purchased, but given that I caught this mistake (all mine!) within an hour of my purchase, if Italia Rail would consider reversing the charges.
