Thank you for your email. You would want to book a ticket from Rome>Pisa on the day you want to travel. Then, after allowing yourselves the amount of time you want to spend in Pisa, then you will look at the trains going from Pisa, via Florence, onto Venice. This is doable, you will just need to decide the day and approximate times you want to travel in order to book the correct trains. You will purchase separate tickets for each segment, but the tickets are the best value to travel. There is not luggage storage at the station in Pisa however. If you want to store your luggage, then you might want to consider in the morning going Rome>Firenze, and then onto Pisa as there is luggage storage in the Florence station. Then you can pick up your luggage coming back to Florence to go up to Venice.
